Data Centre

Working in partnership with C4L and Web Wiz, Caryford Computer Services operates it's hosting services from a Secure Tier 2 Data Centre located in the county of Dorset, UK. The data centre is a purpose built state-of-the-art facility which was completed early 2010 and offers security, resilience and connectivity.

Power and Cooling

  • UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) system which provides power in the interim as the diesel generators come on-line.
  • Advanced diesel generators as a back-up to provide power to our servers in the unlikely event of a power cut.
  • Dedicated on-site transformer allowing power consumption to be increased should the need arise.
  • Multiple AC (Air Conditioning) units to guarantee control of air flow, temperature and humidity.

Connectivity and Services

  • Multiple fibre connectivity into the centre, giving you the peace of mind of diverse, redundant connections.
  • Secure 1Gbps network with multiple redundant hardware firewalls configured in High Availability with Fail-over.
  • On-site Cisco and Microsoft Certified Engineers.

Fire and Security

  • Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus (VESDA) installed to enable fires to be suppressed before they are fully developed.
  • FM200 fire suppression system extinguishes fires without damaging equipment.
  • Under floor leak detection to prevent any issues related to flooding.
  • CCTV system covering all areas to ensure that the facility is secure at all times.
  • 24-hour video recording which can be reviewed on-demand
  • Fully alarmed floor covering all exits meaning that we will always know if the centre is occupied
  • Biometric security access system
  • Visual verification of all persons entering the data floor
